The HIDOE has announced 83 public schools will serve meals free of charge over the summer to children ages 18 and younger through its summer food service program. The program is funded by the USDA to ensure kids continue to receive nutritious meals during the summer.
We know that making sure our kids get enough to eat will help improve their growth and development. No child should go hungry, and we know summer months can be challenging for parents trying to make ends meet.

ハワイ州教育局は、83の公立学校で夏休みの間中18歳以下の子供たちに対して無料で食事を提供する「サマー・フード・サービス・プログラム」を発表しました。このプログラムはアメリカ農務省からの補助金によって、夏休みの間に子供たちが栄養のある食事を摂ることができるように運営されるものです。
子供たちの成長と発達のために十分な食事を摂ることができるようにしなければいけません。お腹を空かせる子供がいてはならないのです。夏休み中、経済的に困難な時期を迎える保護者もいるでしょう。
