Hawaiʻi remains the safest state in the country when it comes to gun violence. As gun-related tragedies rise across America, the statistics are clear: Common sense gun laws save lives. We cannot allow ourselves to be desensitized to the alarming tragedies that occur far too often.  Hawaiʻi has the lowest rate of gun deaths in the country, and we will continue to take steps to protect our residents and create a safe environment for all.

ハワイ州は銃による暴力に関して、国内で最も安全な州です。アメリカ国内では銃が関連する悲劇が増加しつつあり、それは統計で明確になっています。

常識的な銃規制法は命を救うものです。私たちはあまりにも頻繁に発生するからと言って、このような悲劇に鈍感になるようなことがあってはいけません。ハワイは国内で銃による死亡率が最も低いところです。そして私たちは住民を守り、全ての人々に安全な環境を作るために引き続き手段を講じていくつもりです。
