It’s been a productive two days hosting the Japan-Hawai‘i Sister State Summit and Reception. Our relationship with Japan is stronger than ever. As the world begins to normalize with the loosening of restrictions from the global pandemic, I cannot express enough, my gratitude to all the Governors, Vice-Governors, Mayors and officials from Japan who have traveled all the way to Hawai‘i for this important conference.
Mahalo to the Japan-American Society of Hawai‘i for organizing this historic summit.

日本・ハワイ姉妹州サミット＆レセプションを開催し、実り多き2日間でした。日本との関係はこれまで以上に強固なものとなりました。世界的なパンデミックによる規制が緩和され、世界が通常に戻りつつある中、この重要な会議のためにはるばるハワイを訪れてくださった日本の知事、副知事、市長、関係者の皆さまには、伝えきれないほどの感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。
この歴史的なサミットを開催してくださったハワイ日米協会の皆さま、ありがとうございました。
