It was an honor to celebrate the promotion of Major General Roy Macaraeg with his ʻohana, especially as it was my first time officiating a promotion as Governor of Hawaiʻi!

He has served in multiple positions at the Pentagon, validating manning requirements to appropriate team leader, and a deployment in Iraq.

Of course, he was also in command of the best unit in the Hawaiʻi Army National Guard… or so I’m told. Congratulations once again to Major General Macaraeg.

ロイ・マカレイグ少将とご家族と共に昇進をお祝いできたことを嬉しく思います。特に私にとって、ハワイ知事として昇進を担当するのは初めてのことでしたから！　少将は国防総省で複数の役職を務め、チームの指導者として十分な適性があることを証明しており、イラクへの派遣も経験しました。また、ハワイ州兵陸軍の中でも最高の部隊の指揮官でもあったとも聞いています。もう一度言います。マカレイグ少将、昇進おめでとう。
