When we heard that there were long wait times in many states for people wanting to get Commercial Drivers Licenses, we took action. We provided hands-on help, as well as $57 million. I’m proud to report that so far in 2022 we’re issuing CDLs at double the rate of last year.

Since I took office, we’ve begun to turn things around. 2021 was the best year for trucking employment since 1994. There are now 35,000 more trucking jobs than there were before the pandemic.
