The reason we have to raise the debt limit is—in part—because of the reckless tax and spend policies of the last Administration. They incurred nearly $8 trillion in bills that we have to pay off.
Now, Republicans won’t vote to raise the debt limit to cover their own spending.

It’s hypocritical, dangerous, and disgraceful.
