The ocean is a way of life for Hawaiʻi. That’s why the State Legislature and I want to continue protecting the ocean and its resources. Yesterday, on World Ocean’s Day, I signed bills that help do just that.

I also announced support for the expansion of the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument, which would make it the largest Marine Protected Area (MPA) in the world.
